Islamic Jihad says committed to truce

The Islamic Jihad is committed to a ceasefire that has been brokered by Egypt following a day of violence that killed nine Palestinian operatives and an Israeli civilian, a leader of the organization said.

"The Islamic Jihad is committed to the truce as long the occupation (Israel) agrees to do so," the official told AFP on condition of anonymity. (AFP)
