Steinitz: West's financial crisis nearing Israel
Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz cautioned the Knesset's Finance Committee that the deceleration in economy and exporting activities displayed in recent months indicates the Western financial crisis is nearing Israel, and preparation should be made.
"We're seeing troubling signs," Steinitz told the committee. "If we can't keep our economy healthy with high growth and low unemployment rates – any sort of social achievement will be short-lived." (Zvi Lavi)
