UN chief concerned over US threat regarding UNESCO funds
United Nations Chief Ban Ki-moon called Monday for concerted action to preserve funding for UNESCO, after the admission of Palestine as full member, which could lead to Washington stopping all funds to organization.
"We're going to work on practical solutions to preserve the financial resources of UNESCO," said Ban Ki-moon without commenting on the vote that allowed the entry of Palestine in the UN agency. (AFP)
