Finance Minister: Israel must halt UNESCO funding
Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said Tuesday that Israel should halt its funding to UNESCO and the Palestinian Authority following Monday's admittance of the authority to the UN agency.
"It would be odd to continue transferring funds to the organization when the US itself has stopped the payments," Steinitz declared, "if the Palestinian Authority continues with this conduct then it cannot expect us to cooperate." (Yair Altman)
