Gilad Shalit undergoes shrapnel removal surgery

Formerly captive IDF soldier Gilad Shalit has undergone a surgery during which shrapnel was removed from his hand. He sustained the injury in the battle during which he was captured in 2006.

Rambam Medical Center officials said that Shalit will remain at the hospital for observation until Saturday. (Ahiya Raved)
