Navy intercepts Gaza-bound flotilla
Navy forces have successfully taken over the two Gaza-bound vessels carrying 27 pro-Palestinian activists. An IDF spokesman said the operation was completed according to the decision made by the political echelon and after several attempts to speak with the activists.
IDF officials requested the vessels turn back, sail to Egypt or to Israel's shore, however the activists refused. The ships have been taken to the Ashdod port, after which they will be transferred to the care of police and immigration forces. (Yoav Zitun and Elior Levy)
