A rocket fired from northern Gaza Saturday night landed south of the city of Ashkelon. No injuries or damage were reported.
Several hours earlier, Palestinian sources in Gaza reported that IAF helicopters targeted a terror cell in the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis.

The cell was comprised of Islamic Jihad al-Quds Brigades' operatives. According to the Palestinians, one of the terrorists was killed.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit confirmed that the IAF had foiled an attempt by Gaza militants to fire rockets at Israel. The pilots reported hitting their mark.
Medical sources in Gaza said that one man was killed and three others were wounded in the IAF strike.
Saturday's military operation followed Gaza rocket fire at Israel, Friday.
