OECD praises Israel's environmental efforts
An OECD report praised Israel for its environmental performance. This is the first OECD report that touches upon the quality of the environment in Israel.
Deputy Secretary-General of the organization, Rintaro Tamaki noted Israel's actions in the last two years in the field of environmental protection including the natural gas pipe connection to Haifa, decreasing Israel's reliance on oil and encouraging the use of alternative and renewable energy as well as its efforts to prevent land pollution and restore polluted streams.
