State to High Court: IDF reduces use of phosphorous shells
Deputy Chief of Staff General Yair Naveh instructed the IDF to significantly reduce the use of shells that contain phosphorous for the purpose of camouflaging during built-up area warfare, the State told the High Court during a Yesh Gvul petition hearing.
The State further noted that the rules of combat did not preclude the use of shells that contain prosperous for camouflaging purposes and that the US and European armies use it as well. (Aviad Glickman)
