The Nazareth District Court has sentenced a 38-year-old Jerusalem resident, Rania Helsa, to a year in prison for attempting to smuggle cellular phones to Ketziot Prison. The court also extended the sentence of a Palestinian prisoner, Mohammed Taj of Tubas, by three years and four months for his involvement in the attempt.
Helsa was arrested after she gave the cellular phones to a prison guard, bribing him NIS 8,000 for each phone. (Ahiya Raved)
