IDF official: Soldier fired 8 bullets in Har Hebron incident
An IDF official said that the initial investigation into the shooting incident on south Har Hebron reveals that one of the soldiers at the checkpoint who tried to stop the car, fired eight bullets at the car. The driver, Rabbi Dan Martzbach (55) from Otniel was killed in the incident and three people were wounded.
The official added that the car continued to move forward for another 400 meters and then came to a stop. "It is as yet unclear why the soldiers decided to open fire," he noted, "at the moment the incident is being investigated by the commander of the Judea and Samaria division. (Yair Altman)
