Abbas meets with US envoy Hale

President Mahmoud Abbas met with US Middle East Envoy David Hale in his office in Ramallah ahead of the Palestinians' meeting with members of the Quartet on Monday.

Abbas reiterated that the Palestinians would resume direct negotiations with Israel only if construction on the settlements and east Jerusalem is stopped and Israel accepts the two state solution based on the 1967 borders. (Elior Levy)
