Court postpones medical residents' rebuttal to contempt accusation

National Labor Court President Nili Arad has granted the medical residents' motion to postpone their rebuttal to the state's petition to hold them in contempt of the court.

The residents, who were initially required to explain by 1 pm on Thursday why they abandoned their hospital posts against the court's orders, argued that they should be given an extension due the fact that a hearing on the issue is to be held in the Supreme Court the same day. They were given an extension until Friday at noon. (Neri Brener)
