Report: Arab League chief gets death threats from Syria

None

Arab League Secretary General Nabil Elaraby has received death threats over the phone from unidentified perpetrators in Syria after the council decided to suspend the country's membership, the Egyptian daily Al-Shorouk reported.

A Syrian opposition official told the newspaper that "These were not calls from enraged citizens, but organized calls made by the Syrian Intelligence. This is a terrorist regime to the fullest sense of the word." (Roee Nahmias)
