Libya: Seif al-Islam Gaddafi captured

Muammar Gaddafi's son Seif al-Islam has been captured in southern Libya, a Libyan militia commander said Saturday. Bashir al-Tlayeb of the Zintan brigades told a press conference that Seif al-Islam was captured with two aides trying to smuggle him out to neighboring Niger.
The commander said that Gaddafi's son had been taken to the Libyan town of Zintann, and would not comment on where Seif al-Islam might be tried. The International Criminal Court had earlier said that it was in indirect negotiations with Moammar Gaddafi about his possible surrender for trial, the chief prosecutor said Friday. (AP)
