Finance minister: Doctors' contract won't be revised

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz addressed the crisis in the healthcare system, saying that "This isn't a medical crisis, but a struggle for the State of Israel's identity – whether it is under the rule of law and order, (a state) where contracts are honored and court rulings are carried out, or an anarchic state, where everyone acts of their own accord."
He added that the contract that was offered to the nation's disgruntled medical residents will not be revised, "but we are willing to listen, to compromise and see what can be improved upon." (Ronen Medzini)
