Report: Hezbollah considering military coup
Hezbollah's leadership is considering the possibility of taking control of Beirut thus carrying out a military coup in Lebanon should the current Syrian regime fall, the al-Arabia network reported.
According to the report, Hezbollah officials have expressed concerns over the escalation of the situation in Syria, a situation that could cause the fall of Assad's regime. They noted that it was due to those concerns that the Hezbollah leadership was examining various scenarios including a military coup in Lebanon. (Roee Nahmias)
