Thailand's government says ousted former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra will not be among convicts proposed for a royal pardon this year.
Thaksin fled the country in 2008 to escape a corruption conviction and the current government is led by his youngest sister. Yingluck Shinawatra told reporters after Tuesday's Cabinet meeting that her government follows the law and will not work in favor of any particular individuals. (AP)
