Russia outlines response to US missile shield

Russia will equip long-range missiles with warheads capable of foiling a US anti-missile shield in Europe and may deploy additional arms in its western and southern regions, President Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday.

Medvedev lamented that talks on cooperation with the United States and NATO on a European missile defence have not produced agreement and outlined a response to US plans to deploy anti-missile shield in Europe by 2020. (Reuters)
