US embassy advises Americans to leave Syria immediately
The US embassy in Damascus advised all Americans to leave Syria immediately while there are still commercial flights.
The US also announced that Ambassador Robert Ford will not be returning to Damascus. Meanwhile, CBS reported that Turkey had warned its citizens against staying in Syria. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
