Abbas, Mashaal welcome new Palestinian 'partnership'

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal welcomed a new Palestinian "partnership" after a two-hour meeting Thursday in Cairo devoted to Palestinian reconciliation.
"We want to assure our people and the Arab and Islamic world that we have turned a new page in our partnership on all important matters relating to the Palestinian nation," said Mashaal told reporters while President Abbas assured that "there is no difference between us." (AFP)
