Syria: 8 soldiers killed, 40 wounded in attack
Eight Syrian soldiers were killed and 40 wounded Saturday in an attack by defectors in the region of Idleb, 320 km northwest of Damascus, a Syrian human rights group said on Saturday.
"A group of defectors attacked a squad of soldiers traveling in seven vehicles, on their way to the village of Ghadka Maaret Al-Noomane," the group stated. (AFP)
