The Iranian parliament is discussing a law proposal calling to downgrade the Islamic Republic's diplomatic ties with the UK. The discussion comes days after London adopted sanctions against Tehran due to its refusal to curb its nuclear program.
The chairman of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Alaa al-Din Boroujerdi, said during the meeting that the British envoy's status should be lowered due to the European nation's "hostile" policies. (Dudi Cohen)
