Singer Margalit Tzanani was convicted of extortion on Sunday, as part of a plea bargain that would prevent her from serving any jail time.
The plea, which excluded the original charge of conspiracy to commit a crime, was accepted by the Tel Aviv District Court.

Tzanani's accomplice in the case, Michael Hazan, was also convicted as part of a plea bargain and will serve a 10 months prison sentence.
According to the indictment, Tzanani conspired with Hazan and a third person to blackmail her talent agent, Assaf Atedgi. Tzanani allegedly enlisted the senior crime bosses to aid her in return for helping them gain a foothold in the entertainment industry.
Facing the court, a somber Tzanani answered "Guilty," when asked to enter her plea. She refused to answer the media's questions.
Tzanani is expected to receive a sentence of community service.
