Report: Kuwait cabinet submits resignation

None

Kuwait's government submitted its resignation to the country's ruler on Monday, parliamentary sources said, to resolve protesters' and opposition deputies' demands that the prime minister step down over allegations of corruption.

The country's parliament speaker told reporters after a meeting with the emir, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, and members of the cabinet that he had not been informed of any decision to dissolve parliament. (Reuters)
