10 Givati fighters imprisoned over refusal obey order
Ten Givati Brigade soldiers from the Shaked Infantry Battalion were sent to military prison and a few others were confined to base for a month because they ignored orders they received from the division commander.
The soldiers, who are currently on non-combat employment on the Lebanese border, claimed that the officer's treatment was "humiliating" and included harsh verbal abuse. The IDF Spokesman said in response: "The commander was not sentenced for any kind of violence. This is an incident in which soldiers acted against orders and failed to perform as required, and so were sentenced in accordance with the severity of their actions." (Yoav Zitun)
