MK Elkin: Beinisch is inciting against Knesset
In response to statements made by Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch, Knesset Member MK Zeev Elkin (Likud) said that her declarations show a lack of basis understanding of democracy. "The president's statements are a clear example of wild incitement against the Knesset," said Elkin.
He added: "I respect the Supreme Court and see the institution's major significance and the importance of its judicial independence; nevertheless, I will not be broken by a campaign of threats and intimidation." (Attila Somfalvi)
