Aharonovitch: Katsav's jail time won't be served as house arrest

Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch, responding for the first time to reports suggesting former President Moshe Katsav may end up serving his prison sentence in house-arrest conditions, ruled out the possibility altogether.
Asked about the prospects of such a decision, Aharonovitch said "absolutely not, it will not happen" Katsav was sentenced to seven years in prison after he was convicted of two counts of rape. (Omri Efraim)
