Kazakhstan: 5 militants, 2 troops die in clash

Prosecutors in oil-rich Kazakhstan say five militants and two government troops have been killed in a clash outside the commercial capital, Almaty.

The Prosecutor General said in a statement Sunday that the fighting occurred after security services mounted an operation in Boraldai village to capture suspects in the murder of two policemen in Almaty last month. (AP)
