Abbas: PA continues with efforts to gain UN membership
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said the PA has not abandoned its efforts to gain UN Security Council membership. He made the remarks during a meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, who was visiting Ramallah.
Abbas noted in a statement that the PA aims to work towards the two-state solution withing 1967 borders, not to isolate or delegitimize Israel. (AFP)
