Clinton to meet with Syrian exiles
US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is using a European trip to hold a rare meeting with Syrian opposition figures.
Clinton plans to sit down with seven Syrian-born opponents of the Bashar Assad regime during a visit to Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday. A US State Department official says it's only the second time she has held such a session since the United States decided this summer that Assad would never allow reforms and must leave office. The group of exiles is assembling from across Europe. (AP)
