Egypt appoints new finance minister
Egypt's new prime minister confirmed Mumtaz al-Saeed as the country's finance minister on Tuesday, state television reported, but there was no word on a new interior minister more than two weeks after the last cabinet resigned.
The ruling military generals have brought veteran politician Kamal al-Ganzouri out of retirement to lead a new interim government but he has struggled to put together a team, compounding political uncertainty nine months after Hosni Mubarak was ousted in a popular uprising. (Reuters)
