US ambassador: Washington, J'lem cooperating on Iran

US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro said that Washington is in close cooperation with Jerusalem on dealing with Iran. Shapiro said that Washington does not rule out any option that could prevent the Islamic Republic from obtaining nuclear weapons.

The diplomat addressed the rash of anti-leftist bills being pushed through Israel's legislative process, stressing that the issue is an internal affair. He noted that US President Barack Obama wants to visit Jewish state, but it is unclear when the trip is to take place. (Attila Somfalvi)
