High Follow-Up Committee for Israeli Arabs declares general strike

High Follow-Up Committee for Arab citizens of Israel declared that it will go on a general strike on Sunday, in protest of a government plan to regulate Bedouin settlements in the Negev.

According to the committee members, the plan will lead to the expropriation of some 800,000 Dunams of land in the Negev, and the displacement of tens of thousands of residents from their homes. (Hassan Shaalan)
