Gaddafi's son denies plot to sneak into Mexico
lawyer says slain Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's son "vigorously denies" having plotted to illegally sneak into Mexico to escape his home country as his father's regime was under siege by rebels.
Defense lawyer Nick Kaufman said Friday in an email that al-Saadi fled Libya because he feared for his life and is grateful to Niger for providing refuge. But he says al-Saadi denies ever formulating or sponsoring "any criminal plot to obtain illegal entry into Mexico." (AP)
