UN Security Council condemns Lebanon attack
The Security Council is condemning an attack on the UN force in Lebanon. Council members said in a press statement Friday that they condemn all attempts to threaten the peace and security of Lebanon, and called on all sides to abide by their obligation to respect the safety of UN personnel in the county.
The statement says five French peacekeepers and two civilians were wounded in Friday's attack on a convoy near Tyre. Earlier reports had mentioned only one civilian. (AP)
