France says it fears a major attack by Syrian forces against the city of Homs may be in the offing and is urging the international community to "save the Syrian people."
A statement issued Saturday by the French Foreign Ministry said France is "deeply concerned" by information that a major military operation is being planned against Homs, the central Syrian city that is the epicenter of the revolt against President Bashar Assad. It did not cite the source of its information. (AP)
