Rabbi Yosef meets with French ambassdor

Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef has met at his home with French Ambassador to Israel Christophe Bigot. Yosef is expected to give Bigot a letter announcing his consent for the release of the Palestinian prisoner Salah Hamouri, a French national who was convicted of planning to assassinate the rabbi.

Hamouri is to be released as part of the Shalit prisoner swap deal. (Kobi Nahshoni)
