EU condemns death of Palestinian protestor

European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton's office published a statement on Tuesday over the incident last week in which Palestinian protestor Mustafa Tamimi died after he was hit by a tear-gas canister at a Nabi Salah protest.
The statement said that: "The high representative deeply regrets the tragic death of Mustafa Tamimi," a statement from Ashton's spokesperson said, adding that Ashton "regrets the disproportionate use of force under any circumstances." (Ynet)
