None

The Red Cross says the mounting death toll from flash floods that ravaged the southern Philippines has reached 436, most of them in two coastal cities.

Philippine Red Cross Secretary General Gwen Pang told The Associated Press that the latest toll Saturday is based on a body count in funeral parlors. She said that 215 died in Cagayan de Oro and 144 in nearby Iligan cities, and the rest in several other southern and central provinces. (AP)
