Shalit deal: Peres to pardon 43 security prisoners

President Shimon Peres is expected to sign on Sunday the pardon requests of 43 security prisoners who are to be released as part of the second phase of the Shalit prisoner exchange deal.

On Friday, the High Court of Justice rejected a petition against the inmates' release, filed by the organization Shurat HaDin organization. Five hundred and fifty prisoners are to be released in the swap. (Attila Somfalvi)
