Man involved in Qasr al-Yahud raid released to house arrest

None

The Jerusalem District Court granted an appeal filed by far-Right activist Meir Bertler and released him under restrictions. Bertler was arrested on suspicion he headed a group of activists who crossed the Jordanian border and invaded the Qasr al-Yahud Christian baptism site.

The judge accepted the claim that Bertler was discriminated against in relation to the other suspects who were released to house arrest and that he poses no danger. (Aviad Glickman)
