Peres meets South Sudanese counterpart in Jerusalem

President Shimon Peres met with his South Sudan counterpart in Jerusalem on Tuesday. Salva Kiir said that his visit in Israel is a special historic moment.
He said that Israel has always supported the Sudanese people, noting "Without you we would not have been established." Kiir said Israel fought alongside the Sudanese people to enable the establishment of South Sudan and expressed a desire to learn from its experience. (Attila Somfalvi)
