Fayyad meets ex-prisoner who plotted to kill Rabbi Ovadia Yosef

Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has met with Salah Hamouri, who was imprisoned for plotting to assassinate Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef and was freed in the second phase of the Shalit deal.

During the meeting, Fayyad congratulated all of the inmates who were released in the swap, and noted that their freedom was at the top of the PA's priorities. Palestinian Authority Minister of Prisoner Affairs, Issa Kraka and Fayyad's aide, Jamal Zakout, attended the meeting as well. (Elior Levy)
