Abbas, Mashaal chat in Cairo ahead of official meeting

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has met with Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal in Cairo for a preliminary chat ahead of their official meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday.

The two discussed the conclusions drawn during the meetings held in the past few days between Fatah, Hamas and other Palestinian factions over the implementation of their reconciliation pact. (Elior Levy)
