Fiji: Israeli woman killed in car accident

ZAKA working to bring injured husband back to Israel along with victim's body

An Israeli woman was killed in a car accident in the island nation of Fiji in the South Pacific. Her husband was severely wounded and was being treated at a local hospital.

 

The ZAKA rescue organization was working to fly the husband back to Israel along with his wife's body. The circumstances of the accident remain unclear at this point.

 

In September 24-year-old Yossi Shapir of Kibbutz Gvulot in the Negev was killed in northern India when his motorcycle collided with a private vehicle.

 

In July 58-year-old Behira Noema of Kiryat Ata was killed in Georgia when the minibus she was travelling in crashed into a roving truck in the mountain roads of Imereti province.

 

Twelve people, including the Israeli woman's husband, were injured in the accident.
