Opposition blames Syrian regime for blasts

The Syrian National Council, the main opposition group in the Arab country, said President Bashar Assad's regime was "directly responsible" for the twin bomb attacks on security service offices in Damascus, which killed 40 people.
"The Syrian regime, alone, bears all the direct responsibility for the two terrorist explosions,” said an SNC statement received in Nicosia. “It wanted to send a warning message to (Arab League) observers for them not to approach security centers." (AFP)
