Islamic Jihad: Joining PLO won't require commitment to its policies

Islamic Jihad leader Ramadan Shallah said that the Palestinian factions' meeting in Cairo did not yield a decision that would require the different groups to commit to the Palestine Liberation Organization's policies in order to join it.

"There were clear indications during the meeting emphasizing that joining the PLO did not mean each faction must give up its agenda," Shallah told the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper. (Elior Levy)
