MK Horowitz blasts Minister Livnat for 'encouraging' sex segregation
MK Nitzan Horowitz (Meretz) blasted Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat for saying in an interview that sex segregation is acceptable within ultra-Orthodox communities. Such statements "encourage the exclusion of women, and will bring to the expansion of the trend," he said.
Horowitz added that "segregation in the public sphere is illegal everywhere, and I would expect a minister at Israel's government to unambiguously require citizens to abide by the law. (Moran Azulay)
