The State Prosecutor's Office filed an appeal with the Supreme Court on Sunday over the light sentence given to Shani Sevilla, a former Border Guard officer who was sentenced to three months in prison and three months of community service for abusing a Palestinian man.
The State is claiming that the punishment is unusually light and does not match the severity of the crimes Sevilla was convicted of. (Aviad Glickman)
